Commissioning of Ethylene Glycol Plant No. 1 Heat Exchanger Station at Sanning Chemicals / Author/Source: Sanning Chemicals / Date: 2020-12-07 / Clicks: 49 With the successful power supply to the distribution room of Heat Exchanger Station No. 1 in Sanning Chemicals’ ethylene glycol plant on December 3, the conditions for commissioning were met. On the 4th, the motor of chilled water circulation pump C was tested and started individually, officially kicking off the commissioning process. It is understood that Heat Exchange Station No. 1 mainly cools through heat exchange, producing condensate with acceptable temperature and pressure levels. By utilizing the heat from the temperature difference in the condensate, cold water is generated in summer and air conditioning heating water is produced in winter, to supply air conditioning water for all structures north of Zhongwei Avenue as well as the area in front of the factory. This device is designed to switch between four operating modes; it utilizes the heat from condensate when present, and produces hot water using low-pressure steam when there is no condensate. At present, the installation of the electrical components and the pressure testing of the on-site air conditioning pipes have been completed. The wiring for the instruments is nearly finished, and the DCS is about to undergo point setting and interlock testing; meanwhile, the flushing of the pipes outside the facility is in progress. With the commissioning of the heat exchange station complete, it will provide warmth for the employees involved in its construction during the winter months.
