Successful first-start-up of the turbines in two 80,000 cubic meter air separation units at Jiujiang Xinlianxin Author/Source: Jiujiang Xinlianxin Fertilizer Co., Ltd. Date: 2020-10-28 Clicks: 75 The air separation units supplied by Jiangxi Hangyang are used to provide oxygen for the large-scale project at Jiujiang Xinlianxin, and their proper operation is crucial for the successful commissioning of this project. At 23:22 on October 19, the startup of Jiangxi Hangyang Turbine No. 2 was completed ; At 18:56 on October 24, the start-up of Turbine No. 1 was completed. During the startup process, technical parameters such as the temperature of the turbine oil and bearing displacement were within normal ranges, and all interlock logic systems of the unit functioned properly. This marks the successful first start-up of the turbines in Jiangxi Hangyang’s two 80,000 cubic meter air separation units. The steam turbine is the core equipment of an air separation unit, providing the power for its operation. Faced with the complex task of installing components and carrying out interlock testing for two air separation units, each with a capacity of 80,000 cubic meters, Jiangxi Hangyang broke with conventional approaches and planned meticulously. Over the course of nearly half a month, it organized its team to work overtime to ensure the efficient completion of the commissioning process for both turbine units. High-pressure steam purging is a necessary step before starting up a turbine. To ensure that this purging process is carried out efficiently, Jiujiang Xinlianxin Company adheres to a policy of close cooperation and coordination with Jiangxi Hangyang, working together with them on preliminary tasks such as pressure testing of high-pressure steam pipelines and chemical cleaning. Through the joint efforts of both parties, the purging work was completed efficiently, securing valuable time for the turbine to be started up and for subsequent commissioning. The successful start-up of the turbine marks the full commencement of the joint commissioning of the air separation unit. Jiujiang Xinlianxin and Jiangxi Hangyang will continue to adhere to principles such as treating each other as an integrated whole, using the key nodes of the larger system as critical pathways, and focusing efforts to overcome challenges one by one, in order to keep advancing the commissioning process efficiently.
