The methanol price in the Panjin area remains stable at 1,780–1,800 yuan per ton, ex-works. In the Shenyang area, the price is stable at 1,900 yuan per ton, ex-works. Traders are selling at a moderate pace. The market price of methanol in Qinghai region is currently unavailable. Due to gas supply restrictions during winter, all the major gas-based production facilities in this region are shut down for maintenance, with production expected to resume in March 2021. The prevailing transaction price in Linfen, Shanxi remains stable at 1,750–1,760 yuan per ton, delivered in cash ； In the Changzhi region, offline prices have risen by 30 yuan per ton, now standing at 1,850 yuan per ton on a spot cash basis ； In the Jincheng region, the prevailing transaction prices have risen by 40-100 yuan per ton, reaching 1,800-1,820 yuan per ton on a spot cash basis for ex-works delivery. The methanol market in Henan is seeing overall price increases, with robust trading activity. Henan-based companies have raised their quotes; the actual ex-plant price is around 1850–1880 yuan per ton ； Negotiations in the Luoyang market have pushed prices up to 1,870 yuan per ton. In the Anhui region, the price of methanol in the market rose by 20 yuan per ton, reaching 1950–1980 yuan per ton for delivery against acceptance. Futures prices are on the rise, and manufacturers do not have any inventory pressures, which drives up their pricing; meanwhile, downstream buyers tend to adopt a wait-and-see attitude. The methanol market in Fujian remains stable, with prices at major storage areas hovering around 2,000–2,010 yuan per ton including taxes at the time of delivery. There is limited activity in price negotiations within these areas, and sales are sluggish.
