On May 18, urea prices in China were generally stable, with slight increases of 10–20 yuan per ton in some areas. According to data from the China Agricultural Inputs Distribution Association, the wholesale price index for urea in China was 3144.40 points on May 16; it has been rising for 6 weeks in a row, with an increase of 239,21 points (which is equivalent to an increase of 3921 yuan per ton in the wholesale price of urea), breaking the historical peak set since the inception of this index in 2011. Below are today’s urea prices in various regions. In Shandong, prices have risen by 10–20 yuan per ton; the factory price for small and medium-sized particles is around 3200–3230 yuan per ton.
