Zhonghe Gasification Receives Praise Letter from Project Owner for Xinjiang Yihua Gasification Plant Project Author/Source: Zhongke Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. Date: December 10, 2020 Views: 10 Recently, Zhongke Hefei Gasification Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhonghe Gasification”) received a praise letter from the project owner, Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., in which high recognition was given to Zhonghe Gasification’s management skills and dedication during the construction of the Xinjiang Yihua Gasification Plant project. The letter of praise mentioned that the project faced complex on-site conditions, severe climate conditions, and high construction difficulties; furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays in progress. The leadership of Zhonghe Gasification visited the project site on multiple occasions to provide supervision, coordinate the progress, pool resources, and address the key challenges ; The staff of the project department braved the scorching heat and severe cold, staying at the construction site to complete the tasks on schedule and with high quality, making significant contributions to the timely resumption of operations at Xinjiang Yihua. At the same time, the owner expressed sincere gratitude to Zhonghe Gasification in the letter of praise, and looked forward to deeper cooperation between the two parties in the future to achieve mutual success. At present, the 400,000 tons per year ammonia synthesis plant, the 600,000 tons per year urea plant, and the 80,000 tons per year melamine plant at Xinjiang Yihua have all been put into operation and are running at full capacity, which indicates that the circulating fluidized bed gasification technology has been fully validated for the gasification of high-alkali coal. Due to its high ash content, tendency to coking, large variations in ash melting point, and poor slurry-forming properties, high-alkali coal cannot be used in gasification processes such as fixed-bed, fluidized-bed coal slurry, or fluidized-bed pulverized coal systems. The full-scale operation of the Yihua project in Xinjiang demonstrates the strong adaptability of circulating fluidized bed gasification technology to different types of coal. It provides technical and equipment support for the efficient and clean utilization of China’s large reserves of low-grade and poor-quality coal, as well as offering a practical process pathway for small and medium-sized ammonia synthesis enterprises to reduce their coal consumption costs.
