The methanol price in the Panjin area remains stable at 2,300 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse; in the Shenyang area, it is 2,400 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse. At the beginning of the week, most people are adopting a wait-and-see attitude. The market price of methanol in Qinghai region is currently unavailable. Due to gas supply restrictions during winter, all the major gas-based production facilities in this region are shut down for maintenance, with production expected to resume in March 2021. The prevailing transaction price in Linfen, Shanxi remains stable at 2080–2110 yuan per ton, delivered in cash ; Retail price in the Changzhi area is 2,200 yuan per ton, with cash payment upon delivery ; In the Jincheng area, the mainstream transaction price for high-end products has dropped by 50 yuan per ton, to 2200 yuan per ton, with delivery on cash basis. Negotiations in Henan’s methanol market show an upward trend. The bidding prices for the main enterprises in Henan have increased; the final transaction price was 2235–2240 yuan per ton, which is 35–40 yuan per ton higher than the bidding prices prior to New Year’s Day. Other enterprises have also raised their offers, with the actual ex-factory price ranging from 2260–2270 yuan per ton ; The quoted price in the Luoyang market is around 2,230–2,270 yuan per ton. The mainstream reference price for methanol in the Anhui region remains stable at 2,380–2,400 yuan per ton upon delivery against acceptance; there is a strong atmosphere of caution in the market, with demand driven mainly by essential needs. The methanol market in the Two Lakes region remained stable with little trading activity. Some enterprises in Hubei have reduced their quotes during the New Year’s Day holiday; the actual ex-factory price is around 2500–2510 yuan per ton ; Trading in the Hunan market is sluggish, with quotes ranging around 2630–2650 yuan per ton. The negotiation atmosphere in the methanol market of Fujian region is average; spot quotes from the main storage areas in Quanzhou range around 2500–2520 yuan per ton, including taxes, for delivery from the storage facilities. No such information has been received from Xiamen, where the available supply is limited, resulting in few transactions.
