Just as the entire company was enthusiastically celebrating the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and continuing to carry out the special campaign aimed at “reducing costs, improving efficiency, and successfully achieving annual targets,” on October 12, the No. 2 coal-fired boiler unit in the thermal power workshop of Lutianhua Co., Ltd. completed 100 days of uninterrupted, safe, and environmentally friendly operation. This marks the third instance this year that the thermal power workshop has achieved such a long period of stable operation. On June 24 this year, Coal Boiler No. 2 in the Thermoelectric Workshop was shut down for maintenance due to abnormal material recirculation. During the maintenance period, process engineers exercised careful supervision and actively cooperated with maintenance and construction units such as Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation team and Hongxu. All maintenance tasks were completed on schedule, laying a solid foundation for the long-term reliable operation of Coal Boiler No. 2. After the maintenance, Coal Boiler No. 2 was started up at 8:20 on July 4 and has been operating ever since. During these extraordinary 100 days, the Thermal Power Workshop fully implemented the management system for the long-term operation of equipment, conscientiously carried out safety and stable production control measures, enhanced technical training for employees, and strictly adhered to process discipline and various management regulations. The workshop promptly identified a total of 223 equipment defects, and successfully addressed major abnormal conditions such as pressure relief valve malfunctions, electric field shutdowns, and frequent failures in the ash conveying system. During this period, a total of 186,292 tons of qualified steam was supplied for chemical production. On October 12, Chen Zhanqing, the company’s deputy general manager, led heads of relevant collaborating units and functional departments to the thermal power workshop to celebrate the success. In the main control room of the Thermal Power Workshop, Liu Xiaodong, Director of the General Office, first read out the congratulatory letter on behalf of the Party committee, management, and labor union of the company. Xie Song, Assistant Minister of the Human Resources Department, presented the long-term performance bonus to Chen Wei, Director of the Thermal Power Workshop. Chen Wei stated that everyone in the workshop will spare no effort and continue to strive to successfully accomplish the workshop’s production targets. Chen Zhanqing congratulated the thermal power workshop on achieving a long-term operational period of 100 days for Coal Boiler No. 2, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all employees who had worked hard. He said that due to various internal and external factors, the entire company faced significant pressure in 2020 regarding production, especially in maintaining long-term operational cycles. The fact that the Thermal Power Workshop managed to achieve its third long-cycle operation this year demonstrates its comprehensive management capabilities. It also reflects the great efforts made by all departments within the company as well as collaborating units such as mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams in working together. It is hoped that the leadership team of the Thermal Power Workshop will guide the workshop managers and team members to conscientiously carry out all management tasks, operate with care, promptly identify any deficiencies, and take timely corrective actions ; At the same time, preparations for major maintenance must be carried out to address any explicit or hidden issues that have emerged during operation. Preventive maintenance should also be conducted to lay a solid foundation for the unit’s next long-term operation cycle.
