On January 18, the overall performance of China’s liquid ammonia market was satisfactory; as the Spring Festival holiday approached, there was some replenishment by end-users, and businesses retained a decent level of confidence. Prices in the Hebei region rose by around 20 yuan. Currently, the prevailing acceptance price in Shijiazhuang, Hebei is 2400–2420 yuan per ton, while the factory acceptance price in Cangzhou is 2580 yuan per ton ； In northern Shandong, the cash price is 2,450–2,630 yuan per ton, while in the Linyi area, the price upon delivery after acceptance is 2,720–2,750 yuan per ton ； In Jiangsu province, the mainstream price for goods delivered upon acceptance in northern Jiangsu is 2760–2780 yuan per ton, while in southern Jiangsu it is 2910–2960 yuan per ton ； In northern Anhui, the prevailing price for acceptance is 2,670–2,730 yuan per ton, while in southern Anhui the prevailing cash price is 2,760 yuan per ton ； The regional mainstream price in Henan is 2,480–2,520 yuan per ton ； The prevailing price for liquid ammonia in Hubei is 2,800–2,830 yuan per ton, with actual transaction prices ranging from 2,750 to 2,800 yuan per ton ； The prevailing price in Hunan is around 2,880–2,900 yuan per ton. Future market outlook: As the Spring Festival holiday approaches, terminals are gradually restocking liquid ammonia. After experiencing a slight price decline, Shandong’s northern region may see an increase in confidence thanks to positive developments in Henan. Later on, as logistics operations gradually slow down during the holidays, vehicle transportation may become slightly more restricted compared to the earlier period; however, retailers will accelerate their stock replenishment to meet the demands during the holidays. It is expected that the liquid ammonia market will remain stable at relatively high levels in the near term, with price fluctuations ranging from 30 to 80 yuan. (Bai Chuan)
