A few days ago, the upgrade project for Xinghua Company’s production management information system was approved by the relevant authorities. The company’s existing production management information system has been in use since 2009. Due to various factors such as production upgrades, changes in manufacturing processes, and process consolidations, numerous issues have accumulated over time. It is necessary to address these remaining problems within the production management system, enhance process monitoring, improve resource utilization, and ensure that the production management information is accurate and complete. At the same time, the DCS of Boiler No. 4 in the large-scale chemical processing system needs to be integrated into the production management system in order to achieve the goal of combining industrialization and informatization. To this end, under the leadership of the Office of Information Management, the Production Department and various relevant production units actively participated in planning and advancing all the preparatory work required prior to the system upgrade. The relevant technical personnel traveled back and forth between the site, the control room, and other operational locations to conduct inspections, verify the secondary data of the servers in the machine room, organize the various data points, and also check and correct the relevant data. Subsequently, discussions were held with the system equipment manufacturers to finalize the renovation plan and the specific methods of upgrading. This process improvement involves 12 workshops and 410 process points, of which 316 require immediate correction, 61 new points need to be added, and 33 points have been confirmed in consultation with the Electrical and Instrumentation Company. This lays the foundation for precise and scientific management within the enterprise, while also creating conditions for maximizing the efficiency of production management.
