Since the beginning of December, Plant I of Sino-China Chemical has been carrying out thorough anti-freezing measures for its equipment and pumps. Due to the loss of insulation on some pipes caused by strong winds in the earlier period and the inspection work on pressure vessels, the cost of having specialized anti-corrosion and insulation teams carry out repairs would be extremely high. To reduce production costs, the gasification plant took proactive action rather than waiting for instructions; it cut the used filter cloths removed from the filters into appropriate sizes, and assigned team members to repair the pipelines that did not have sufficient insulation, with the insulation level required to be below 100°C. This approach not only solved the problem of pipeline insulation but also enabled the proper reuse of waste materials, thereby saving the company money on equipment anti-corrosion expenses.
