Ningxia Petrochemical’s Large Fertilizer Plant Has Operated Continuously for 200 Days Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: October 17, 2022 Clicks: 35 As of October 13, the domestic-made 45/80 large fertilizer plant operated in Category A mode at Ningxia Petrochemical Company had been running continuously for over 200 days, setting a new record for continuous operation since its commissioning. This facility is a domestically produced large-scale fertilizer plant in China with independent intellectual property rights. On July 5, the unit achieved its first 100-day long-term operation goal since it was put into service. This achievement in reaching the 200-day long-term operation target once again demonstrates the advanced nature of domestically developed nitrogen fertilizer production processes. It also provides valuable and replicable technical experience for the localization of nitrogen fertilizer production technologies in China. Since the beginning of this year, Ningxia Petrochemical has carried out 16 specialized technical projects under initiatives such as \"publicly inviting experts\" and \"assigning tasks to experts\", addressing operational issues related to energy consumption, water usage, large-scale machinery, and steam pipelines. These efforts have improved the production capacity of the facilities and ensured their operation at high loads for extended periods of time. During this period, both the ammonia production and urea production of the facility reached record highs. In addition, economic and technical indicators such as the overall energy consumption and specific natural gas consumption of the facility have reached historical best levels. Currently, the unit’s specific natural gas consumption stands at 1,067 standard cubic meters per ton of ammonia, a decrease of 47 standard cubic meters per ton of ammonia compared to the previous year. The overall energy consumption for ammonia synthesis is 33 gigajoules, down by 2.1 gigajoules year-on-year.
Not bad; it’s an improvement. My previous record was over 400 days; I hope to beat that :lol
