Preliminary review of the raw material supply chain upgrade project for Anhua Group Company

On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, Henan Energy, Chemicals and New Materials Company carried out the preliminary review for the raw material route upgrade project of Anhua Group Company. The meeting reviewed and approved the project evaluation opinions, requiring Anhua Group Company to revise and improve the project proposal in light of these opinions, and to submit it to the Chemical New Materials Company in accordance with the established procedures for project decision-making. Anhua Group originally had two sets of ammonia/sulfuric acid urea production plants. The first set has been out of service for many years. The second ammonia/sulfuric acid urea production system was built in 1995 and was shut down in 2020 in accordance with the requirements to phase out outdated production capacity. The upgrade of the Anhua raw material process is planned to involve the use of Jinhua furnace gasification, adiabatic + isothermal shift reactions, low-temperature methanol washing to remove acidic gases, and cryogenic separation to extract CO, etc. Ammonia production at a capacity of 300,000 tons per year will be carried out using a low-pressure process of 15 MPa, with the simultaneous production of formamide and N-methylformamide.
