Sales are proceeding smoothly, and some companies have stopped selling methanol. The prevailing selling price of methanol at the main plants in the Tangshan area has dropped by 50 yuan per ton, to 1,500 yuan per ton on a cash basis, primarily due to falling prices in regions such as Inner Mongolia. In the methanol market of Dongying, Shandong, the negotiated price has dropped by 20 yuan per ton, to 1480–1500 yuan per ton ex-warehouse and in cash payment; it is expected that transactions will occur at lower prices, or those prices may even be broken. In central Shandong, the local delivery price for methanol in the market remains stable at 1,580–1,650 yuan per ton, paid in cash at the time of delivery; transaction volume is relatively low, with most parties adopting a wait-and-see attitude. Quotations in the methanol market of northern Jiangsu remain stable at around 1,600 yuan per ton in cash terms; some discounts can be negotiated. There are no significant changes in the fundamental factors, and most players are adopting a wait-and-see attitude.
