The methanol price in Panjin, Liaoning remains stable at 1,550 yuan per ton when delivered against cash; in Shenyang, the price stays steady at 1,680 yuan per ton for cash delivery. At the beginning of the week, most parties adopted a wait-and-see attitude. In Linfen, Shanxi, the prevailing transaction price for high-end products has increased by 20 yuan per ton, reaching 1370–1410 yuan per ton, with delivery upon cash payment ； The offline price in the Changzhi area has stabilized at 1,450 yuan per ton, with delivery against cash payment ； The prevailing transaction price in the Jincheng area has stabilized at 1,390 yuan per ton, with delivery against cash payment ； In the Lüliang area, the auction price has reached 1,320 yuan per ton, with payment in cash and delivery upon completion of the sale ； In the Yuncheng area, the reference mainstream price remains stable at 1,400–1,500 yuan per ton, with delivery against cash payment ； The Datong region is expected to make an offer later. At the beginning of the week, companies tended to adopt a wait-and-see approach, mainly executing contracts from the weekend, and freight costs in this area have risen. The methanol market in Qinghai remains stable for now; the main manufacturers have not yet announced new prices for this week. Last week, the average transaction price was around 1160–1250 yuan per ton on a cash basis at delivery, with higher prices available through negotiation. Zhonghao’s 600,000-ton methanol plant will be shut down temporarily starting August 26th, with repairs expected to last around 15 days. The methanol market in Henan saw a slight increase. Henan-based companies have not provided any quotes yet. Thanks to the favorable macroeconomic conditions, futures prices opened higher significantly; in the Luoyang market, negotiation prices have risen, with a reference range of 1490–1500 yuan per ton in cash terms. The methanol market in the Two Lakes region is seeing overall price increases, with many small-scale transactions taking place in the market. Hubei-based companies have raised their quotes; the ex-plant reference price is 1660–1670 yuan per ton in cash ； For negotiations in the Hunan market, a reference price of 1,820–1,850 yuan per ton in cash is applicable. The mainstream reference prices in the Anhui region for methanol have risen by 20–30 yuan per ton, reaching 1650–1660 yuan per ton on an acceptance basis. Futures prices are strong, the local market atmosphere is optimistic, and bid prices remain firm. The methanol market in Fujian region is on the rise; prices at major storage areas have increased by 20 yuan per ton, reaching around 1760–1780 yuan per ton including taxes at the time of delivery. Spot prices rise in line with futures, and demand for spot purchases is generally moderate.
