Qinghai Yuntianhua’s second series of ammonia synthesis units have achieved 353 days of continuous, safe and stable operation

On January 4, 2026, the second series of ammonia synthesis units at Qinghai Yuntianhua achieved 353 days of continuous safe and stable operation, while the urea production unit operated continuously safely and stably for 342 days – together setting a new record for the longest period of continuous operation since the plants went into operation. Qinghai Yuntianhua uses natural gas as a raw material and has built two sets of ammonia and urea synthesis plants. The capacity for synthetic ammonia is 200,000 tons per year, and that for urea is 300,000 tons per year. Phase 1 was put into operation in 2010, and Phase 2 in 2011.
