In order to measure the liquid level of liquid ammonia in a sealed small steel tank, our company cannot see the liquid level inside the steel tank without a sight glass. Our liquid level indicator must be calibrated in advance with liquid ammonia. However, the liquid ammonia evaporates very quickly at room temperature, making it impossible to actually measure the accurate liquid level. Please give us some advice.

The reason why it volatilizes quickly is because of the exposure. If this problem cannot be accurately calibrated, you can spray some water to try. The frosted part is the critical point of liquid ammonia and gas ammonia. Or use the back of your hand to feel that the temperature difference is relatively large.
