When selecting anti-caking agents, in addition to distinguishing between those designed for nitro compounds and those designed for urea-based compounds, is it also necessary to differentiate between high-tower nitro types and drum-type nitro types, or between high-tower urea-based types and drum-type urea-based types? Do different types of fertilizers have the same anti-caking mechanism?
As I understand it, they’re all more or less the same; the key is the ability to form a kind of \"shell\" – when the particles dissolve in water, a shell-like structure appears, which indicates that the encapsulation effect is good. Looking at future development, our company should focus on internal control and prevention; there is considerable potential in this area, and it represents an inevitable trend.
It is certainly more appropriate to classify them as additives, as this allows for more targeted approaches. There are significant differences between drum and tower processes in terms of production (pelletization), and these differences result in variations in the properties of the two types of fertilizers – such as their moisture absorption points, crystal stacking patterns, moisture content, mixing methods, and surface smoothness. Therefore, it is most reasonable to use additives that are suitable for addressing the specific differences in production processes. Of course, companies that are small in scale and lack the necessary technical expertise do not have the time to pay attention to such details.
