Project Overview and Scope of Bidding: 2.1 Project Overview: This project involves the construction, within the Green Functional Food Packaging New Materials Project (Phase I) located in the Industrial Park of Jiang’an County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, of a 500-ton capacity pilot plant for functional polyesters. This plant will use a five-reactor process to synthesize modified functional polyester products. This process uses PTA and ethylene glycol as the main raw materials, with CHDM and other third monomers serving as modifying monomers; high-performance functional polyesters are obtained through esterification and polycondensation. Such products are mainly used in the packaging industries for cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, etc. The pilot plant is primarily responsible for the process validation and optimization of newly synthesized and modified functional PET products, thereby ensuring the possible mass production of these products. 2.2 Location of construction: Jiang’an Economic Development Zone, Yangchun Town, Jiang’an County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. 2.3 Scale of construction: The investment amount for this project is 14 million yuan. 2.4 Scope of the tender: This tender covers the development of a 500-ton capacity functional polyester pilot plant; it includes the entire process from feeding PTA in bulk bags to the final packaging of the finished product. All equipment, facilities, main materials, auxiliary materials, insulation and anti-corrosion materials, as well as operation platforms, are included in this scope – details can be found in Chapter 5 of the tender documents. 2.5 Division of bid sections: There is one bid section for this tender.
