I. When cable trays are installed parallel to various pipes, the clear distance between them must meet the following requirements: 1. When cable trays are installed parallel to ordinary process pipes (such as compressed air pipes), this distance should be no less than 400 mm. 2. When the cable tray is installed parallel to pipes carrying corrosive liquids, the distance between them should be no less than 500 mm. 3. Cable trays should not be installed parallel below pipes carrying corrosive liquids or above pipes carrying corrosive gases. When it cannot be avoided, it should be no less than 500 mm. And they are separated by anti-corrosion partitions in between. 4. Cable trays shall be installed parallel to thermal pipelines; when the thermal pipelines have insulation, the distance shall be no less than 500 mm, and when they lack insulation, it shall be no less than 1000 mm. 5. Cable trays should not be installed parallel above thermal pipelines. When parallel installation above such pipelines is unavoidable, the distance between them should be at least 1000 mm, and effective insulation measures should be taken in between. II. When the cable tray intersects with various pipelines, the clear distance between them shall meet the following requirements: 1. When the cable tray intersects with ordinary process pipelines, the distance shall be no less than 300 mm. 2. When the cable tray intersects below pipes carrying corrosive liquids or above pipes carrying corrosive gases, the distance between them should be at least 500 mm; moreover, the cable tray at the intersection point should be protected with an anti-corrosion cover, the length of which should be at least d+2000 mm, where d is the outer diameter of the pipe. 3. When a cable tray intersects with a thermal pipeline, if the pipeline is insulated, the distance between them should be at least 500 mm; if it is not insulated, the distance should be at least 1000 mm. In the case of stainless steel trays, insulating panels (such as asbestos boards) should be used at the intersection point to protect the cable tray, and the length of these insulating panels should be at least d+2000 mm. (d is the outer diameter of the thermal pipeline insulation layer)
