Dear seniors, in SH/T3122, there is a start-up bypass line between the product extraction line and the reboiler inlet line, whereas in HG/T20570, the valve used is a connecting valve. I would like to ask the experts what purpose this valve actually serves? How to use this bypass process?
It can be switched out directly in case of emergencies
Can it be fully distilled in one pass?
The valves in the upper and lower diagrams serve the same purpose; only the way they are described differs; Function 1: Before starting up, introduce materials in the reverse direction from outside the unit and fill them into the reboiler ; 2. Remove all the material from the reboiler when shutting down.
Purpose of setting up a bypass line at the start of operation: 1. At the beginning of operation, the bypass line valve is opened first, allowing the material in the tower bottom to circulate through the reboiler for a period of time; only after the composition of this material meets the required standards (such as moisture content, acidic components, and other key light components) is it permissible to send the product from the tower bottom to downstream processes; 2. During shutdown, drain all the liquid material from the reboiler and circulation pipelines.
In other words, the function of this valve is to switch the process from a single-pass mode to a recirculating reboiler mode when starting up
