“What is “design diagnosis”? What terms? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this in the context of project construction before; is it something unnecessary? Was it the owners who proposed doing this, or were **regulatory authorities** the ones that required the company to do it? Did the project owner hire an engineering firm to design the project for them, and then hire another firm to evaluate the design work done by the first firm? What is this thing? Dizzy? Is there such a way to play?
Design diagnosis refers to the process of conducting a comprehensive evaluation and analysis of a design scheme in order to identify its problems and determine areas for improvement. It can help relevant parties such as construction units and design institutes understand the advantages and disadvantages of the design scheme, identify problems, and propose improvement suggestions. Design diagnosis is a term from the field of design management; it is a method and approach developed to improve the quality and effectiveness of designs. Design diagnosis is usually chosen voluntarily by the project owner, and it is not a requirement imposed by regulatory authorities. Construction owners sometimes engage independent third-party agencies or professionals to conduct design assessments in order to obtain more objective and professional evaluations. In some cases, the project owner may commission another design firm to diagnose their existing design plans. This may be because the project owner is not satisfied with the original design plan, or hopes to rely on external professional evaluation to ensure the quality and feasibility of the design. This approach can help the project owner obtain more design options and reference suggestions, thereby supporting the smooth progress of the project. The purpose of design diagnosis is to identify potential issues and propose improvement measures through a thorough examination and evaluation of the design plan prior to project implementation, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of the project. It is a valuable process that can help ensure the design meets the requirements and provide assurance for the smooth progress of the project. .
