There is currently one finished oil storage tank, and the design pressure specified in the process data sheet is FOW+100mmWG. I would appreciate it if experts could help explain what FOW means. Thank you so much! ! !
FOW here refers to “Fluid Operating Weight”, that is, the weight when the vehicle is operating with liquid in it. This usually refers to the weight or pressure of the liquid inside the tank under normal operating conditions. Meanwhile, “+100mmWG” (millimeters of water column) represents a safety pressure value added on top of the normal operating pressure, intended to ensure the safe operation of the storage tank under various conditions. Therefore, a design pressure of FOW+100 mmWG means that the design pressure of the tank should be 100 millimeters of water column higher than the pressure generated during normal operation of the liquid. .
