The 25th National \"Safety Production Month\" in 2026: Everyone talks about safety, and everyone knows how to handle emergencies; identifying and addressing risks and hazards. -------------------------------------------------- Recently, the design project for the hydrogen and ammonia production facilities as well as the auxiliary systems related to hydrogen and ammonia in the first phase of China Coal Green Energy (Ordos) Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s integrated wind and solar hydrogen-to-ammonia project in Wushen Banner was awarded to a winning bidder. The company selected is China Fifth Ring Engineering Co., Ltd., which will be responsible for the overall design of the ammonia synthesis process as well as all the auxiliary systems in the plant. The integrated technology demonstration project for producing green ammonia via wind and solar power to generate hydrogen, developed by China Coal Green Energy (Ordos) Energy Technology Co., Ltd., is located in the Tuke Industrial Park of the Sulihe Economic Development Zone in Wushen Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia. As a flagship green hydrogen chemical demonstration project of the China Coal Group, it involves an total investment of 17.2 billion yuan and will be constructed in phases; the ultimate production capacity is set at 500,000 tons per year of green ammonia, along with associated green urea. Among them, the core capacity of Phase 1 hydrogen-ammonia project + auxiliary infrastructure projects is as follows: 1. The main ammonia synthesis unit – a flexible ammonia synthesis plant with a capacity of 634.3 tons per day, enabling an annual production of 149,500 tons of green ammonia (approximately 150,000 tons); the operating range of this unit is 20% to 110%. Supporting facilities include a nitrogen production plant with a capacity of 19,000 Nm³/h and a carbon dioxide purification plant with a capacity of 12,953 Nm³/h. 2. Hydrogen production, storage, and transportation infrastructure (designed simultaneously): Hydrogen production via water electrolysis: 64,000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolyzer system. Hydrogen storage: 13 x 2,000 m³ spherical hydrogen storage tanks + 22,000 Nm³ of solid-state hydrogen storage; total hydrogen storage capacity is 308,000 Nm³. Supporting systems include hydrogen transport compressors, chilled water systems, a plant management platform, circulating water systems, fire protection systems, as well as power distribution and other auxiliary systems. 3. Scope of utility projects: basic design for all utility systems throughout the plant, including the overall plant layout, circulating water systems, air separation units, refrigeration systems, steam systems, sewage treatment systems, hazardous waste storage areas, power distribution and transformation systems, automation systems, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, as well as hydrogen/ammonia transmission pipelines.
