On January 10, 2025, the contract signing ceremony for the process package of the 100,000 t/a polyolefin elastomer plant in the epoxy resin integrated project (Phase I) of Shaanxi Yueneng New Materials Co., Ltd. was held in Hangzhou. Relevant leaders from Shanghai Hetu Engineering Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Xingchuan New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and Yueneng New Materials Company attended the signing ceremony. The collaborating party stated that it will complete the preparation of the process package with high standards, high quality, and high efficiency, and will go all out to provide excellent after-sales technical support. Yuneng New Materials Company stated that the signing of the process package for the polyolefin elastomer facility marks the final determination of the process technology for this project. It is hoped that Hangzhou Xingchuan, Shanghai Hetu, and Yueneng New Materials will work together to organize and plan things scientifically, set a reverse schedule for the construction timeline, ensure timely delivery, and do their utmost to push the project forward at full speed. It is reported that the key units of Shaanxi Yueneng New Materials Co., Ltd.’s epoxy resin integrated production project include an 800,000 t/a methanol-to-propylene (DMTP) plant, a 125,000 t/a chloropropene plant, a 150,000 t/a epichlorohydrin plant, a 200,000 t/a hydrogen peroxide plant, a 300,000 t/a isopropylbenzene plant, a 350,000 t/a phenol plant, a 240,000 t/a bisphenol A plant, a 250,000 t/a epoxy resin plant, a 100,000 t/a high-salinity wastewater treatment plant, a 100,000 t/a polyolefin elastomer (POE) plant, a 30,000 t/a ethylene-propylene rubber plant, along with the accompanying utility and auxiliary systems. The project is the world’s first comprehensive industrial chain for epoxy resins and related products, using coal-based methanol as the raw material. New routes for epoxy resins will be developed by building on the existing coal-to-methanol and chlor-alkali industries in the park, with deep integration with traditional chlor-alkali and coal chemical industries to enable mutual supply of raw materials.
