Signing of Engineering Design Contract for Chengzhi Huaqing POE Project 2025-07-30 16:18:13 On July 24, the signing ceremony for the engineering design of Chengzhi Huaqing Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd.’s (hereinafter referred to as “Chengzhi Huaqing”) new materials industrial park project (2×100,000 tons/year POE) sowie the kick-off meeting for the engineering work were successfully held. It is reported that the Qingdao Chengzhi Huaqing New Materials Industrial Park represents Chengzhi Co., Ltd.’s significant investment in the field of chemical new materials. The project covers an area of 528 mu, with a total investment of over 5 billion yuan, and it will be built in two phases. The first phase of the 40,000 tons per year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. For another project, the 2×100,000 tons/year POE facility utilizes the POE process technology package with complete independent intellectual property rights owned by Zhejiang Zhiying, with Shanghai Zhiying responsible for the engineering design. This technology was developed jointly by Zhejiang Zhiying and various universities. After preliminary tests as well as pilot tests on a scale of 1,000 tons, a complete production process capable of handling 100,000 tons per line was successfully developed, meeting the conditions for large-scale industrial application. On December 7, 2024, the process technology for Rongsheng New Materials (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd.’s 200,000 tons per year POE production facility in Jintang, which was developed under the leadership of Zhejiang Zhiying R&D Center and designed by Shanghai Zhiying Engineering, successfully passed the \"First Domestic Conference on Process Safety and Reliability Assessment\" organized by the Zhejiang Chemical Safety Association. On March 19, 2025, a demonstration meeting to assess the pilot-scale results of the \"technology for the selective oligomerization of ethylene to produce α-olefins\" and the \"POE technology for producing ethylene-α-olefin copolymer elastomers via solution method\", developed by Zhejiang Zhiying in collaboration with various universities, was successfully held in Hangzhou. The evaluation panel unanimously agreed that this set of technical processes is mature and features advanced performance, meeting the conditions for industrialization, and approved its technical appraisal.
