When looking at chemical engineering drawings, there are many pipe identifiers, such as 40--LA34023C2 (H.30). What does this mean? I’m not quite sure; please let me know if you know, thanks
DN40: A pipe with a nominal diameter of 40 mm. LA34023: Material code L (liquid). Main item number A3 (third set of equipment). Pipeline sequence number 4023 (the 4023rd pipeline). C2: Nominal pressure class C (e.g., 2.5 MPa). Serial number 2. Material C (carbon steel). H.30: Insulated pipe, with an insulation thickness of 30 mm.
