【Common Issues in Haichuan Pipeline Design】No pressure gauge installed on the intermediate pipeline of the safety valve and rupture disc assembly

Description of the hazard: A pressure gauge is not installed in the pipeline between the safety valve and the burst disc assembly. Standard reference: GB/T 38599-2020 – Combination of safety valves and burst disc devices. Clause 4.9 states that a vent valve, pressure gauge, or some other alarm indicator should be installed in the chamber between the burst disc device and the safety valve, in order to detect whether the burst disc is leaking or damaged, and to allow for the timely release of pressure accumulated in that chamber, thereby preventing back pressure from affecting the bursting pressure of the burst disc.
