To collect the materials from the plant during shutdown, chemical plants typically employ low-level tanks placed in pits. If the materials are toxic or hazardous substances, where is the safest location to install the valve assemblies for accessing these tanks?
All the valve assemblies for entering the tank are located outside the pit; placing them inside the pit increases the risk of poisoning or suffocation
Pipelines are generally buried and lead to low-level tanks, while the valve assemblies are located outside the pit, which means another small pit is required.
Before entering the pit, set up a valve well and place the valve assembly inside it. The pipelines do not need to be very deep; they just need to be below the level of all the drainage points
