Presentation on GB/T20801.1 \"Industrial Piping\": On October 31, 2025, the Standardization Management Committee issued Announcement No. 29, approving the newly revised \"Code for Pressure Piping – Industrial Piping\" (GB/T20801.1~GB/T20801.5-2025). The new standards will come into effect on May 1, 2026. Q&A and discussion: Based on the questions raised by the participants, the instructor will provide answers and engage in discussions. The \"Code for Pressure Piping – Industrial Piping\" (GB/T 20801) serves as a coordinating and foundational standard for the TSG31-2025 \"Technical Regulations for the Safety of Industrial Piping\", and it is closely related to the work of those involved in the design, manufacturing, construction, inspection, and safety management of pressure piping. **Since the standard GB/T20801 was issued and implemented in 2006, 20 years have passed. During this time, related standards associated with it have been updated successively, the concept of risk control has gradually taken root, and new materials and technologies have continued to emerge. There is an urgent need to comprehensively revise the standards; the newly revised GB/T 20801 standard corresponds to ISO 15649 \"Pipelines in the oil and gas industry\" and ASME B31.3-2016 \"Process pipelines\", while also taking into account the actual conditions in China. Compared with the GB/T20801-2020 version, all parts of the new standard have undergone extensive revisions. This standard replaces the original GB/T 20801.1-2020, GB/T 20801.2-2020, GB/T 20801.3-2020, GB/T20801.4-2020, GB/T20801.5-2020, and GB/T20801.6-2020 standards, integrating them into a single standard to eliminate content duplication. Significant revisions and improvements have been made in areas such as term definitions, pipeline classification, material requirements, design calculations, and inspection tests. It serves as the core technical basis for the whole-life cycle management of industrial pressure pipelines, and is directly related to engineering safety compliance and industry technological advancement. To help relevant technical personnel promptly understand the main contents of the new standard GB/T20801.1-2025, address common difficulties encountered when selecting domestic and international standards, and improve the technical skills and professional capabilities of those involved in the design and inspection of pressure pipelines, our center will invite the editors in charge of various sections of GB/T20801.1-2025 to provide detailed explanations, and organize a seminar on the new pressure pipeline standard GB/T20801.1
