Recently, China Chemical Engineering Caiding Company won the bid for the EPC general contracting project of the 500t/h phenol-amine recovery unit – the largest of its kind in China – as part of the **key national project, the Guoneng Xinjiang coal-to-gas project. The project is located in the Xiheshan Industrial Park of the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Xinjiang. It covers an area of 223.85 hectares and represents a key element in **promoting the on-site conversion of coal resources and establishing an integrated clean energy industry ecosystem. The wastewater treated by phenol-amine recovery units has a complex composition, containing various pollutants such as ammonia, phenols, fatty acids, and acidic gases. During the treatment process, technical challenges such as equipment corrosion, scaling, and biochemical inhibition arise prominently. As the engineering company in our country that has undertaken the most projects for phenol-amine recovery units, SDI has designed or taken overall responsibility for the construction of all units with a capacity of over 300 t/h that are currently in operation in China.
