May I ask how people construct the foundation for tanks with a diameter of around 3M? ? How is a storage tank fixed to the foundation? Are there several methods? Which one is good? For example: 1. Spot welding of embedded steel plates ; 2. Foot bolts ; 3. Place it directly on the concrete without any embedded components ; How to construct the foundation for indoor storage tanks? How to construct the foundation for outdoor storage tanks?
It depends on the height; those with a length-to-diameter ratio of less than 1 should be able to be placed directly on the foundation
Whether indoors or outdoors, a foundation must be constructed, as the storage tank needs to be placed on a level surface. Large-tonnage storage tanks generally do not require fixation. Unless there are strong winds there all year round.
When considering the infrastructure, the main issue is settlement. It’s better not to use fixation; simply placing it on the base is sufficient. Professionals in this field will take this into account.

Check whether the tank experiences vibration or displacement. If it is merely a storage tank without any mixing mechanism or motor, it will not generate significant vibration or displacement, and can be placed directly on the ground, provided that the surface is level and can bear the weight; If there will be significant vibrations and displacements, and it is not planned to move or modify the tank in the long term, steel plates can be embedded during the construction phase; the tank’s supports or legs can then be welded directly to these embedded steel plates. If there are concerns regarding the accuracy of the embedding or if it is considered too troublesome, expansion bolts can simply be used when fixing the equipment. Generally, the foundations for outdoor equipment need to be embedded or fitted with expansion bolts, due to the numerous external vibration factors. For indoor use, it can be considered for direct placement.
