On the afternoon of the 29th, Liao Guoxun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, inspected the relocation and transformation project of Bohua Group under the initiative of \"integrating industry and informatization\". The relocation of Bohuan Chemical Co., Ltd. and Dagu Chemical Co., Ltd. from their current locations to the Bincheng Nangang Industrial Zone represents a crucial step in Bohua Group’s strategy for transformation and upgrading. The total area of the project is 3.05 square kilometers, with a planned total investment of 29.4 billion yuan; currently, 90% of the work for the first phase has been completed. Liao Guoxun visited the Nangang Terminal Company and the PP plant site on separate occasions, to gain a detailed understanding of the terminal’s design and construction, technical approaches, operation management, and regional planning. He urged the company to leverage its brand strengths, adhere to industry-leading management practices and proprietary technologies, and integrate the salt chemical and petrochemical industries in order to achieve complementary advantages, differentiated competition, and sustainable development. Subsequently, Liao Guoxun presided over a symposium. He emphasized that Bohua Group has a century-long history and is regarded as the cradle of China’s alkali industry as well as the birthplace of the modern chemical industry. We must resolutely pursue a path of high-quality development, work to address the issue of Bincheng being surrounded by chemical industries in the process of building a new development pattern, and create space for the growth of strategic emerging industries such as information technology, biomedicine, and cell ecology. It is necessary to focus on the creation and production of green materials in order to drive the chemical industry toward higher levels of sophistication and precision. It is necessary to seize the opportunities associated with the project construction timeline, provide support in terms of funding and land optimization, reverse-engineer the schedule, and make every effort to ensure that the project becomes operational by the end of the year. It is necessary to adhere to the highest safety standards and the strictest emission standards, and utilize modern technologies such as big data and the Internet of Things to empower enterprises through digitalization and intelligence. Bohua Group needs to strengthen its internal capabilities and deepen reforms, actively bring in strategic investors, separate its core operations from those that are less important, optimize restructuring, streamline its operations, and reduce costs while increasing efficiency.
