May I ask how activated carbon can be regenerated for reuse after it has been used for adsorption?
Depending on the substance to be adsorbed, hot air, steam, and nitrogen are used.
As long as the catalyst meets the specifications after regeneration, that’s fine!
The regeneration effect is usually already poor. What kind of environment is it used in? Often it’s used just once and then burned.
First treat it with hot steam, then with hot nitrogen, and if possible, finally evacuate it at a certain temperature. However, it is difficult for regenerated activated carbon to reach the activity level of new activated carbon.
