It is somewhat related, right? Once the flow rate and pipe diameter are determined, the SCH wall thickness is determined based on the pressure rating

Check the standards directly; pipes of different nominal diameters vary as well
It doesn’t matter; SCH is a series of wall thicknesses that result from calculated values and are rounded off, and it has nothing to do with the outer diameter of the pipe
