In the design specifications provided by the design institute, it is stated that \"the carbon dioxide liquefier in the carbon dioxide recovery system should be as close as possible to the liquid level tank of the carbon dioxide level gauge, and the connection pipes should be kept horizontal to avoid the formation of air pockets.\" What does \"air pockets\" refer to in this context?
The terms on the pipeline are not chemical industry terms.
Pipes with a π-shaped bend, similar to that. Air tends to accumulate in the upper part of the liquid.
It can be understood as a section in the liquid pipeline where gas is present and cannot be easily removed, which is similar to the concept of a dead corner
