The reaction vessels we use are of the open-type design; the temperature of the solution during the reaction is between 90 and 100 degrees. White carbon black is produced through precipitation, via the reaction between dilute sulfuric acid and sodium silicate. For online pH monitoring, just look for manufacturers that offer such services; Mettler Toledo has relevant products, so contact them directly
I asked several manufacturers, and they all only sell the instruments; our solution has a certain level of viscosity, so automatic cleaning is necessary
My idea: 1. Design an external circulation circuit to be pumped. The pH meter is installed on the circulation pipeline. 2. There is a version of the pH meter that comes with a cleaning nozzle, but it may not be very practical in real use. 3. Install a bypass line for the pH meter, and regularly remove it for cleaning before reinstalling it.
At this temperature and under these operating conditions, ordinary pH meters don’t work well; a special design is required. I know there are manufacturers capable of achieving this, but it’s very expensive, with costs estimated at around 20 watts.
20W? Are you joking? Mettler doesn’t offer it at that price either
