Does the expansion of the gate station need to comply with the \"Code for Fire Protection of Oil and Gas Facilities\" GB50183? The company’s chief engineer said there is no need to follow it, and it isn’t listed either in the common GB standards included in the training materials for pressure pipelines. But I still feel that one should follow it, after all, if something goes wrong because these guidelines aren’t followed, the designer is still responsible. The general provisions of 50183 state: “These specifications apply to the fire protection design of newly built, expanded, or renovated onshore oil and gas field projects, pipeline station projects, and onshore terminal projects for offshore oil and gas fields.””
