Gentlemen, I’m using Qingdao Jieneng steam turbines with a rated air intake of 8.54 t/h. Recently, as temperatures have dropped, the three turbines have shown sensitivity to the ambient temperature; as the temperature falls, the vacuum level decreases, resulting in a value of -0.088 MPa in the morning and -0.095 MPa at noon. There is no water in the steam pipelines, and the cause has not been identified. What do you all think? Seeking advice!

Isn’t vacuum created by the steam ejector? If it’s due to the temperature of the circulating water, the vacuum level should be lower in the morning. Has the original poster made a mistake?; In the morning, the water temperature in the circulation system is low, so the condenser performs well at condensing vapor, and the vacuum level should be even lower
The trend is the opposite: vacuum is high when the temperature is low, and vacuum is low when the temperature is high; it’s quite strange

Such a situation is rare; theoretically, in a vacuum system, it’s exactly the opposite of what you mentioned – the water temperature is low while the vacuum level is high. Find some other problems.

Check whether the liquid level in the condenser has changed; a high liquid level of the condensate in the shell side leads to poor heat exchange and a high absolute pressure (low vacuum)
