During the drying process of the refractory material for my project, an emergency occurred (the drying was carried out using circulating hot air; the fan broke down and could not operate), which required a 7-day shutdown. However, the drying temperature did not reach the required 400°C. Currently, I have left the furnace unattended, allowing it to cool naturally, with a temperature drop of 10°C per hour. Will this have an impact on the casting material? Can I bake it again?
There is definitely an impact; without hot air circulation, the heating of the entire batch becomes uneven, and this batch of material might have to be discarded.
