The experiment requires controlling the flow rate of carbon dioxide; a rotameter is intended to be installed at the outlet of the carbon dioxide cylinder. How should it be installed?
Just refer to the pressure regulator with flow meter on the oxygen cylinder
Attach a pressure relief valve to the gas cylinder; then connect a rotameter to the pipe behind the pressure relief valve. It’s not difficult – I’ve used this setup many times in the laboratory.
It depends on the range, accuracy you require, and whether signal transmission is needed. The pressure regulator on the argon cylinder used with the simplest TIG welding machine is equipped with a flow meter. You can use it right away for just a thousand or so yuan
Buy a pressure regulator with a float flow meter~~
Doesn’t a rotameter have to be installed vertically?
The rotameter is installed vertically. Leave two straight pipe sections at the top and bottom. Fixed. Then, when in use, connect it with a hose. Pull the hose off without having to go in.
This is necessary; it’s a basic requirement for using a rotameter. You just need to fix it vertically!

Laboratories usually employ mass flow meters, which are much more accurate than rotameters, and they are not expensive either while still offering high precision.
