We need to top it up every little over half a month, with about 50 to 100 liters each time. Is this normal? Why?
If it’s a new device, that’s a bit unusual, isn’t it? How long has the device been in use? What about the parameters and configurations?
No need to add it. Moreover, the molecular sieves are compressed at the time of manufacture. How did you find out that it needed to be replenished? Personal analysis of the reasons: 1. The molecular sieve was not compressed properly, and collisions between the molecular sieves caused wear ; 2. Reasons related to the quality of molecular sieves ; 3. The moisture content in the air is too high, causing the molecular sieve to become damp.
An alarm was triggered, and upon opening the cover, 3 units were found; each of them had had at least one refill in these 2 months.
No black smoke is coming from the vent silencer, and there’s no black powder in the vicinity either!
1. The drying system was not properly managed, allowing oil and water to penetrate and causing the molecular sieve to become fragmented. 2. The compression device (either the end cap or the cylinder used for compression) did not apply sufficient pressure. 3. The molecular sieve was recycled (second-hand), or insufficient amount was used
That means there is a problem with the quality of the molecular sieve
The replacement cycle for molecular sieves used in adsorption nitrogen production is generally 6 to 8 years, with some companies using them for around 10 years. It is also related to factors such as nitrogen purity requirements, operating load rate, as well as ambient air quality and humidity.
