This post was last edited by YORK Industrial Refrigeration on 2018-3-21 at 11:55. This year’s 【Daily Question】 is divided into three categories: screw refrigeration compressors, refrigeration systems, and oil circuits, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration technology. (If you encounter something you don’t know or can’t answer, please actively look up information; as you do so, your skills will improve!) ) (All commenters on this post will receive 1-3 wealth points; those who give complete answers will get 10-15 points, with the validity period being two days.) ============================== Basic structure and characteristics of screw refrigeration compressors (1): What is the structure of a screw refrigeration compressor? Housing, screw, bearings and hydraulic balance piston, shaft seal, energy regulation mechanism, fuel injection mechanism. ============================== High-quality promotions: Mechanical equipment——Videos on the repair and adjustment of York compressors https://bbs.hcbbs.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1806833 Mechanical equipment——Maintenance procedures for York screw compressors https://bbs.hcbbs.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1806833 Mechanical equipment——Upgrading of York Quinton control centers https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1804837-1-1.html Mechanical equipment——Major repairs of GEA Grasso screw compressors https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1800467-1-1.html Mechanical equipment——Disassembly and maintenance of British HOWDEN screw compressors https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1832529-1-1.html Mechanical equipment——Disassembly and maintenance of Japanese Maekawa MYCOM screw compressors https://bbs.hcbbs.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=
The basic structure of a screw-type refrigeration compressor consists mainly of a rotor, a casing (including the cylinder block in the middle and the suction and discharge end caps at both ends), bearings, shaft seals, a balance piston, and an energy regulation device. Two rotors that rotate in opposite directions at a certain gear ratio and are meshed with each other are arranged parallelly within a cylinder shaped like an “&”. The rotor has a special helical tooth profile; those with convex teeth are called male rotors, while those with concave teeth are called female rotors. Generally, the male rotor is the driving rotor, while the female rotor is the driven rotor. On the left and right sides of the cylinder are the intake end caps and the exhaust end caps, with a pair of rotors supported by bearings located at these end caps. Very small gaps are left between the rotors, as well as between the rotors and the cylinders and end caps. The intake end seat and the upper part of the cylinder are equipped with axial and radial intake ports, while the exhaust end seat and the slide valve have axial and radial exhaust ports respectively. The suction and exhaust ports of the compressor are carefully designed to meet the requirements of its operating process, allowing the working volume to be connected to or separated from the suction and exhaust chambers as needed.
Screw refrigeration compressors can generally be divided into casing components, rotor components, slide valve components, shaft seal components, and coupling components.
Screw refrigeration compressors can generally be divided into casing components, rotor components, slide valve components, shaft seal components, and coupling components. 1) The machine components mainly consist of the casing, suction end seat, and suction end cover. 2) The rotor components include the driving rotor (usually the male rotor), the driven rotor (usually the female rotor), main bearings, thrust bearings, bearing caps, balance pistons, and balance piston sleeves. 3) The slide valve components are primarily made up of the slide valve, slide valve guide, slide valve guide sleeve, spiral tube, oil piston, indicator, as well as O-rings and sealing rings. 4) The shaft seal components consist of a moving ring and a stationary ring, springs, spring seats, pressure rings, and O-ring seals. 5) The couplings used in screw compressors come in two types: rubber pin couplings and flexible (diaphragm) couplings

It’s hard to explain clearly; I’ll just show a diagram directly
