We use a hydrochloric acid solution with a concentration of around 4%-10%, at a temperature of 80-100°C; therefore, it is assumed that the hydrogen chloride vaporized also has a temperature of around 80 degrees, and it certainly contains a large amount of moisture as well. It was originally found that carbon steel pipes can be used for gas pipelines with a service life of up to 3 years. I would like to ask if there are any other suitable materials available, such as 316L; how long can they be used? Also, what is the corrosion resistance of various stainless steels compared to carbon steel? Those with practical experience are welcome to share their insights.

The steel lining is not provided; for a single section of pipe, a metal bellows lining and flange joints can be manufactured, and the manufacturer will send them to you once they are ready. If there are many pipes, they can be fabricated on-site; however, they cannot be used under negative pressure as the lining will peel off
Indeed, plastic-lined steel pipes are not complicated
316L is useful for moderately strong acids, but it’s not effective against hydrochloric acid. If it is just a gas pipeline with a slight positive pressure, steel pipes are not necessarily required. Of course, a PTFE lining inside the steel pipe is better, but environmental corrosion also needs to be taken into account.
HCl contains acid and chloride ions; it’s better to use a steel lining
Putting titanium aside for now, in this environment, using titanium is not as good as using plastic-steel lining!
