Can nitrogen pipelines be welded in this way?
What to ask? Welding quality, or short tube length?
The welding quality is not very good; it’s unclear whether TIG welding was used as a backing process for the inner layer.
It seems no groove was cut, let alone root welding with TIG welding
The flange bolts mentioned above are likely those of a high-pressure container; in other words, this nitrogen line is used to supply nitrogen to the container. It is recommended to consider whether such a weld can withstand pressure under the operating conditions of the process – that’s my personal opinion
Ordinary electric welding is sufficient for nitrogen pipelines!
Conventional arc welding cannot achieve double-sided formation from a single-sided weld.
There’s no problem; it seems to still be low-pressure nitrogen
Skilled welders are able to perform single-sided welding that results in a double-sided finished product. So what problems could arise if you only carry out single-sided welding on this nitrogen pipeline?
Manual arc welding cannot be used for internal shaping; compared to the tube itself, the welded area becomes the weakest point, which is not acceptable.
