Flame arrester on the reactor vessel

A certain batch hydrogenation reactor (PN4.0MPa) has, in addition to the safety valve for venting, a pipeline for manual discharge as well. There are two shut-off valves at the reactor’s outlet, followed by check valves and flame arresters – is this necessary? How to select this flame arrester?
Manual venting is no longer feasible either; an automatic safety relief system needs to be installed, along with a flame arrester.
