Cool 150-degree CO using circulating water, at a pressure of 1 kilogram of gauge pressure and a flow rate of 2000 standard cubic meters, until it reaches 60 degrees.
If a shell-and-tube heat exchanger is used, the gas flows through the shell side while the circulating water flows through the tube side; the gaps in the baffle plates are arranged vertically, as detailed in GB/T151
It is also important to know whether there are any other substances in the gas, apart from CO, that could become liquid at 60 degrees.
The components of the CO gas are not specified, the flow rate units are unclear, and there is no information regarding the cold source; it’s impossible for anyone to provide a solution. For this operating condition, water cooling should be used; the heat transfer coefficient on the CO side is generally much lower than that on the cooling water side, so finned tubes are recommended. Given the properties of CO, external fins are generally not recommended.
