Operation teams in small and medium-sized enterprises

What is the staffing arrangement for the operation teams in small and medium-sized chemical enterprises? Do these teams work on a two-shift, three-shift, four-shift, or five-shift schedule? Is there enough time for rest?

When I first started working in the chemical industry, I could get by with sleeping for half a day after working a night shift; now, even a full day of sleep might not be enough. I’m always envious of those in Shift 4 who work three shifts, and those in Shift 5 who also work three shifts.
Working in three shifts with two rotations is indeed quite tiring, as one has to work 12 hours. Our workplace uses four shifts with three rotations, and I think that’s an ideal schedule
I work in a three-shift, two-day rotation system; larger companies use a four-shift, three-day rotation system. Smaller companies don’t have the resources to employ that many people

We also had a period where we worked in two shifts, three shifts per day; those shifts were daytime (14 hours) and night shift (10 hours), and it was extremely exhausting. Later, it was changed to three shifts per day.
The three-shift system with three shifts per day is okay; I’ve worked under a system of two shifts per day, where the night shift lasted 10 hours – it was quite exhausting. However, once you get used to it, it’s just fine; it’s acceptable.
I think the ideal situation would be a 3-shift system with 4 shifts per day, which would allow enough time for rest and is good for both work and family life. However, small and medium-sized enterprises are not yet able to achieve this.
I really wish we could have a three-shift system like Class 4 too; you guys are so lucky.
14 hours of shift work during the day? What’s going on here? That’s really extreme.
