1. The weight of the heat exchanger is not specified in the report: the weight of each E2208/2 slurry steam generator is 68 tons, while the weight of the shell assembly is 35 tons; Tube bundle assembly 22 tons ; The head assembly weighs 4 tons, and the bolts removed in the report are made of chromium-molybdenum steel with an M48 size.

The redesign of catalytic cracking processes is based on experimental data; there is a significant difference between theory and practice. The positioning of the tubes in the regenerator is determined empirically, and if done incorrectly, the unit may not be able to operate. The volume of the heat exchanger and the flow rate of air are also critical factors, as improper settings can lead to resonance. There is no analysis from a scientific perspective; simple scaling up and down is not sufficient. The lesson is engineering accidents.
Limit condition tests must be conducted before catalytic production. If the fluidization state remains normal under various conditions, there will be no problems during normal operation; otherwise, serious issues will definitely arise if efforts are spared.
