May I ask whether the pipeline pressure testing and purging plan is prepared by the construction contractor or the design firm?
It entirely depends on how the initial contract is drawn up. I have done both approaches; however, it is more common for the construction company to provide the labor and equipment, while the client provides the technical personnel responsible for supervision and inspection
It depends on how the preliminary business discussions go. Purging is usually carried out by the construction party; the design party does not get involved in the subsequent steps.
The technical requirements are provided by the design unit, while the plans are developed by the construction unit. What if the design firm lists several pieces of equipment, temporary pipes and other materials, but the construction firm says they’re not available? What should be done in that case?
Generally, the owner pays for it based on the guidance provided by the design firm
For pipeline pressure testing, it is the construction party’s responsibility to handle the entire process, including preparing the pressure testing equipment, conducting the testing, and sending the samples for inspection; cleaning the pipelines is the responsibility of our own team!
The construction unit is responsible for it, while the design team and the client carry out the review
