Recently, the company’s two 1,000-cubic-meter propane spheres were successfully relocated from the olefin intermediate tank area to the new location in the plant’s tank area. This move not only established a \"hub\" connecting the liquid loading/unloading station with the light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization facility, but also freed up construction space for the propylene intermediate tank area as part of the remediation work. It is reported that the propane sphere tank being relocated this time not only has a large volume but also a net weight of over 20 tons. Finding a suitable location for such a massive structure is a technical challenge. To ensure that the relocation is completed on time and smoothly, all relevant departments within the company worked together closely, carrying out tasks such as formulating a relocation plan, preparing the foundation at the new site, and transporting and installing the structure in place. The propane tank area for the company’s make-up projects is located in the southeast part of the plant site; two propane spherical tanks with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each have been installed there. Once in operation, purchased propane will first be stored in these tanks before being transferred to the light hydrocarbon utilization units and the intermediate tank area.
